Marcia Owens has worked in the computer industry
since 1972. She has worked with and known Stuart Werner, the
author of the filePro Developers Reference since 1973, when she
first went to work for him at his first computer company.
Marcia was Vice-President, Data Processing, handling all data entry,
programming, and computer related functions for the company.
Before coming to work for STN, Marcia worked for Hechinger Company,
a do-it-yourself retail store chain. She was instrumental in
the development and implementation of a just-in-time inventory
replenishment system for the retail stores and warehouses.
Marcia left Hechingers to return to work for Stuart Werner at STN,
Inc. in 1997. She currently holds the title of President. She holds a BS degree in Information Systems
Management from the University of Maryland.
