The Warehouse Operations Module is a revolutionary new program for warehouse management.  It mobilizes the power of the computer to assure smooth cost-efficient operation.  The Warehouse Operations Module manages all the operations of one or more warehouses.  It provides for multiple warehouses at one site, or multiple warehouses at multiple sites.

Loading Dock Operations

MoveTrac^TM supports operations at the loading dock.  Even when unannounced shipments arrive, warehouse personnel can quickly enter shipment and piece information.  Once entered, this customer's data remains available for all other users of MoveTrac^TM.

Customer Goods

MoveTrac^TM keeps track of each individual container received.  Its dimensions, net, gross, and tare weights, lot numbers, and its warehouse location can be entered or modified by office as well as warehouse personnel.

Permanent (Non-Temporary) Storage

Non-Temporary storage (NTS) is maintained.  The system tracks in and out dates for NTS, as well as warehouse location, number of pieces, and the location of each.  NTS is integrated with billing for length of time in NTS, as well as for access and changes in volume and weight.

Storage In Transit

MoveTrac^TM tracks Storage In Transit (SIT) as well as NTS.  IT uses the same criteria, but handles the two differently.  When SIT is converted to NTS, MoveTrac^TM handles it automatically.

Container File

MoveTrac^TM maintains a file of container types, and stores their default dimensions, tare weight, net weight, and cube.  MoveTrac^TM automatically loads this information into each job order as a warehouse piece is created in the container type.

Pieces File

The Pieces file contains a record for each piece in the warehouse.  A piece can be a pallet, a wood van, a crate, a box, a rug, a sofa, etc.  MoveTrac^TM tracks it by location, length of time in storage, serial number, size, cube, condition, and other data.  All pieces for any one job can be located instantly, wherever they are - even if they are stored in different warehouses.  A total for each job order, showing number of pieces and total gross, net, and tare weights is continuously maintained by the system.

Contents

Each piece in the warehouse can have attached to it an unlimited description of its contents.  MoveTrac^TM has special search capabilities built in to locate anything in the contents file, either within a job order, within a warehouse, or anywhere in the system.

Instant Storage Inquiries

Information on pieces in storage is instantly available for all personnel, as soon as it is entered in the database.  This data can be retrieved while on the phone with the customer, from any desk with access to MoveTrac^TM.

Warehouse File

This file contains all pertinent information on each of the warehouses.  It includes storage capacities in square feet, cubic feet, and weight.  It stores information about storage shelving and rack systems, material handing equipment, environment, utilities, and security systems.  It also includes information about finance, insurance, and responsible personnel.  A unique Storage Locator System allows different locator names (i.e., bay, floor, aisle, rack) to be used in different warehouses.
